Welcome to the Beta of our new Ceremony Music Database. We've been working to make your music selection even easier than ever with this great new tool, exclusive to MEGA Event Production!

Finding and selecting your Ceremony Music is now a simple task with our on-line database that allows you listen to hundreds of classical ceremony songs. Once you find the songs you like, you can easily add them to our on-line play list, which you can then email to us so we can program your music.

Making Your Selections
There are essentially five parts of formal wedding ceremony music; Prelude, Processional, Interlude, Recessional, and Postlude.

Prelude: The Prelude creates an exciting or romantic mood and keeps guests entertained as they wait for the ceremony to begin. The music should start as soon as the doors open, 20-30 minutes before the ceremony.

Processional: Processional music ups the drama as the wedding party makes it's entrance; the key is to play something that evokes emotion. How much music you will need depends on the size of your wedding party. Estimate how long it will take for everyone to make their way down the isle, and plan for that much music.

Interlude: Silence is golden but sometimes feels like dead air at a wedding. Interludes can punctuate pivotal moments in the ceremony (like the ring exchange or lighting of a unity candle). They can also provide a poignant way to break up the parts. Have as many or as few songs as you want or deem necessary.

Recessional: Let the crowd know it's time to celebrate! The recessional accompanies your grand exit as husband and wife - pick something upbeat to reflect the festive focus of the day.

Postlude: The postlude should be about ten minutes of lively, up-tempo tunes. The goal here is to get guests moving on out and psyched for the reception!

All the music stored in our database is ordered by section, but there are no hard rules with the above music. Most of the songs are interchangeable, especially the Prelude, Interlude, and Postlude sections which are really a matter of personal choice. You can even use a Recessional song as a Processional song and vice versa.

Getting Started
Finding Songs
To get started, simply open the Ceremony Music Database and use the drop down in the top left corner to pick a category. You can scroll through the list and listen to any song simply by clicking the title or the 'Play' icon to the right. Songs on the server are stored in a low quality compressed preview format to speed up download. On most Internet connections, the song will start playing instantly! You can also search for songs by Title, Artist, or Composer.

Create a Play list
Once you find a song that you like, you can save it to your own personal play list and then send us the play list so we know what you want us to use. To save a song, click the check-box to the left of the song (or multiple songs if you wish), then scroll to the bottom of the page and use the 'add to play list' button (which looks like a + sign). This will take you to your play list page, where you can see all your selections. Once added to your play list, click the yellow 'ceremony library' link on left to return to the library to make additional selections.

Send Us Your Play list
Once you've added all the songs for your ceremony, you can send us the play list that we will turn into a CD to use at your ceremony and you can use for your rehearsal! To save the list, go to the Play list page, and at the top of the list you will see a green 'play' button labeled 'play all'. Right click on the button and choose 'Save Target As...' from the list of options. Save the file to your computer Desktop and attach it to an email using your email client or an Internet email provider such as Yahoo!

Playing Your Play list On Your Computer
You can play the play list on your local computer simply by clicking the 'Default.m3u' file on your Desktop. The files will stream from our server over the Internet (you must be connected for song playback). You can also change the order of the songs in your play list - just remember to save the play list when your done to avoid loosing the changes.
